Inscriptions:   Mark Engraved in the center is the coat of arms of Dudley, for Governor Joseph Dudley. in shield Maker's mark struck once on upper surface.

Physical Description:   footed salver with gadrooned rim and foot; engraved Dudley coat-of-arms; fleur-de-lis mark with circle in a heart on top beneath coat-of-arms; mark rare after 1705, so paten probably dates before that time
